It seems a long time ago now, but we're sure all of you who came will agree that flashbacks first bash was a great success! First of all we would like to thank everyone who came, especially those of you who dressed up and those of you with your natural rude boy / girl accents... Nice one Ket and Kanch (and congratulations)!!! Also thanks to the pregnant women at the top looking after the door and tickets!!!

We sold all but a handful of the 430 available tickets in advance, with the remainder going within 10 minutes of opening the doors. The final count showed over 400 people came through the door, and all you people strutting your stuff on the dance floor probably felt the crowd.

The musical flavas on the night were the cream of the 80s and 90s. From the base of swing, soul and hip-hop, to the twist of jungle and the sprinkle of ragga, we covered all the genres that made 80s and 90s music special for us.

We have collected a few pictures from the night if you have any you would like to add to our collection, please send them to photos@flashback2001.com.

So, how much did you raise, we hear you ask; well, total ticket sales and donations raised £4400. We were also pledged a further £1467 by 3i Group. A total donation of £5867 was presented to the Gujarat Earthquake Relief Fund (GERF). For more information check the charity section.

Thank yous
First and foremost, a big thank you to all of you that decided to support this event by buying tickets. Another big thank you goes to 3i Group for making the single biggest contribution. We would also like to thank all the people who gave their time to make flashback a big success, too many to mention but you know who you are. A huge big-up to all the old-boy (we're not kidding!) DJs on the night: DJ J.I.T., Da Funksta and Quartz FM
